Monday is deadline to apply

for Haverford volunteer positions

HAVERFORD TWP. Residents looking to volunteer for positions on boards or commissions have until Monday to submit a letter to the township manager.

More than 25 open positions are available, including those for representatives on the Environmental Advisory Board, Friends of the Grange, Historical Commission, Ice Rink Advisory Board, Parks and Recreation Board, Shade Tree Commission, and Zoning Hearing Board.

There is even a vacancy on the Vacancy Committee.

Interested residents should send a resumé, biography, and letter to Larry Gentile, township manager, 2325 Darby Rd., Havertown, Pa. 19041, outlining why they would like to serve.

All incumbent members seeking reappointment must also submit a notice to the township.
