BUCKS COUNTY Pearl S. Buck barn to host naturalization ceremony PERKASIE On Friday at 10:30 a.m., U.S. District Court is scheduled to hold a naturalization ceremony for about 40 people inside the renovated 1827 barn where Pearl S. Buck hosted events to feature her humanitarian efforts on behalf of children, her advocacy for the repeal of the Chinese Exclusion Act, and her programs to foster cultural understanding.

PERKASIE On Friday at 10:30 a.m., U.S. District Court is scheduled to hold a naturalization ceremony for about 40 people inside the renovated 1827 barn where Pearl S. Buck hosted events to feature her humanitarian efforts on behalf of children, her advocacy for the repeal of the Chinese Exclusion Act, and her programs to foster cultural understanding.

The barn is located at the Pearl S. Buck International Cultural Center on Dublin Road in Hilltown Township.

Judge Cynthia Rufe is set to preside over the ceremony, and scheduled speakers include Judge John Rufe, U.S. Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick (R., Pa.), and Janet Mintzer, the president and CEO of Pearl S. Buck International. - Inquirer staff
