Two finalists for T/E superintendent

TREDYFFRIN The search for a new superintendent of the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District has been narrowed to two finalists, the district said in a news release.

The new hire will replace Daniel Waters, who announced in October 2013 that he would retire June 30, 2015.

The district received applications from 24 candidates and said a selection committee recommended three finalists to the school board last month. The candidates were interviewed this month.

Two candidates have been scheduled for final interviews with the board, which hopes to make a selection in early fall.

"Making a superintendent selection in early fall provides an opportunity for a smooth transition that benefits T/E students and all community stakeholders," the district said in the release.
