How to keep the grid up will be discussed

LOWER MAKEFIELD Elected officials and Peco representatives will host a meeting in Lower Makefield Township on Thursday night about a plan to make the electrical system more reliable.

State Rep. Steve Santarsiero (D., Bucks) and State Sen. Chuck McIlhinney (R., Bucks) will be in attendance, according to a statement from Santarsiero's office.

Both officials had asked Peco to explore ways to reduce the frequency of extended power outages, which Santarsiero said had occurred at least three times in central and eastern Bucks County this year.

The results will be shared at Pennwood Middle School, 1523 Makefield Rd., at 7 p.m.
