Services being set for children of Gesner Street fire

Funeral services for the four children killed in a fire on Gesner Street in Southwest Philadelphia this month will be Aug. 16, a funeral home official said Thursday.

The rest of the plans are not yet complete, said Exodus Ahossouhe, chapel associate at Turay Memorial Funeral Chapel. He added that a wake for Patrick Sanyeah, 4; his 6-week-old half-brother, Taj Jacque; and 4-year-old twins Maria and Marialla Bowah will be held on Aug. 15, with a funeral and burial on Aug. 16. The venues for the services have not been determined.

Burial will be at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Marple Township. - Alfred Lubrano
