Cabrini to host sexual misconduct seminar

RADNOR University officials, athletic directors, counselors, and campus and local police are scheduled to gather Aug. 15 at Cabrini College for a seminar by the Policy Institute on Sexual and Cyber Misconduct, the school announced.

Katie Koestner of Campus Outreach Services will run the event, which will address how to handle sexual misconduct in colleges, schools, offices and hospitals. The workshop will cover current legal standards, how to prevent and respond to incidents of sexual misconduct, and boundaries when it comes to using social media.

Koestner, a survivor of a date rape, is a national advocate for student safety. Delaware County District Attorney Jack Whelan and Nancy Conrad of the White & Williams law firm will be two of the presenters.

"Cabrini is honored to partner with the Policy Institute to further expand the knowledge and prevention of sexual misconduct," said George Stroud, Cabrini's dean of students. - Mari A. Schaefer
