Neumann's Peri appointed to state board

Neumann's Peri appointed to state charter board

ASTON A vice president at Neumann University has been appointed by the governor to the Pennsylvania State Charter School Appeal Board, the school announced.

Jonathan Peri, who is also general counsel and program director of the Center for Leadership at the university, is a Thornbury Township resident. He is currently president of the Delaware County Bar Association's board of directors.

"It is humbling to be selected as a member of this board," said Peri in a statement. "The State Charter School Appeal Board serves as an instrumental arbiter in our state educational system."

It is Peri's third state appointment in education. In March 2009, he was named to the Tuition Account Program Advisory Board, and in 2010 he began a six-year term with the Pennsylvania State Board of Education. - Mari A. Schaefer
