Construction to impact Route 100 in Chesco

Construction to affect Route 100

WEST WHITELAND Nighttime construction will affect Route 100 in Uwchlan and West Whiteland Townships over the next two weeks, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The construction will affect the road between Swedesford Road and Route 113. In each direction, traffic will be limited to a single lane. The work, which started Sunday, will be completed between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. from Sunday through Friday ending on June 20, PennDot said.

The work is part of a $17.4 million project to widen 2.5 miles of Route 100 to three lanes in both directions. The project is anticipated to continue through February 2016. - Tricia L. Nadolny
