Three towns to be featured in new promotion

DOYLESTOWN New Hope, Doylestown, and Bristol will be featured in a new marketing program aimed at highlighting Bucks County as a tourist destination.

Visit Bucks County, the official tourism promotion agency for the county, is joining with Visit Philadelphia to launch the "Towns of the Philadelphia Countryside" campaign, which will promote Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, Delaware and Chester Counties.

Representatives of both agencies and the three Bucks towns included in the promotion are scheduled to give presentations next Friday at the James A. Michener Art Museum.

In addition to tourism, Visit Bucks County targets sports tournaments, motor coach groups, meetings, special events, and weddings. Annual visitor spending in the county generates $877 million and supports more than 11,600 jobs, according to the agency.

The web site is www.VisitBucksCounty.com.
