Chamber endorses Walker

MALVERN The Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry has endorsed Cuyler Walker in the Republican primary race for the 158th District state House seat, which will be vacant when Republican Rep. Chris Ross leaves office after 18 years.

Walker's background as a township supervisor and president of a small business "makes him uniquely qualified," said chamber president Guy Ciarrocchi.

"With the economy still very fragile, the more candidates we have who know how to create jobs, the better off we'll be," Ciarrocchi said.

Walker, a Berwyn-based lawyer, is a former board member of the chamber. He has been a township supervisor in East Marlborough for the last 17 years and leads the board of supervisors there.

Walker will face Roger Howard in the May 20 primary.

The 158th District seat represents East Bradford, West Bradford, Newlin, East Marlborough, West Marlborough, New Garden, London Britain, Avondale, and parts of West Goshen. - Michaelle Bond
