Eastern names Iddings new provost

names a new provost

ST. DAVIDS R. Keith Iddings, current provost and vice president for academic affairs at Southern Wesleyan University in Central, S.C., will take over as provost at Eastern University on July 1, the school announced.

Iddings was previously vice president and dean of adult and graduate studies at Southern Wesleyan. He also previously worked at Indiana Wesleyan University and Trinity International University in Illinois.

Iddings was ordained in 1983 as a minister of the American Baptist Churches and served as the minister of Christian education at Bethel Baptist Church in Bethel, Ohio, for three years.

He has a master of divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in Kentucky and a doctorate in adult education from the University of Wisconsin.

Iddings founded the Christian Adult Higher Education Association and is also ordained in the Wesleyan Church in South Carolina. - Mari A. Schaefer
