Program offers free tax service

Bucks County residents who earn less than $52,000 a year can have their taxes prepared free by the Opportunity Council's Buck$Back program.

Residents can work with volunteers online at www.bcoc.org or they can meet in person by calling 215-345-8175, Ext. 221 to make an appointment.

Clients can meet with volunteers at the Gathering Pointe Community Center in Perkasie, St. Andrew's United Methodist Church in Warminster, and the Foxwood Manor Community Center in Levittown.

The nonprofit Opportunity Council said it had helped prepare more than 7,000 income tax returns for taxpayers since 2004, providing $12.2 million in refunds. - Ben Finley
