Dance for charity at Upper Dublin High School

Dance for charity at Upper Dublin

FORT WASHINGTON Ever see a science teacher do the cha-cha?

You might if you attend the Upper Dublin High School Student Government Association's first Dancing With the Cards charity event Friday at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

All proceeds from the $5 ticket sales will benefit the Children's Hemiplegia and Stroke Association. Go to for more information on the association.

The Cards, short for Cardinals, are the school's mascot.

Modeled after TV's Dancing With the Stars, this event features pairs of students and teachers in a dance competition. Six student pairs and four teacher pairs are scheduled to perform their own version of the waltz, the quickstep, the cha-cha, the salsa, or the Charleston.

"This should be a neat event," said Christopher Smith, a staff advisor to the Student Government Assocication, "and a fun way to raise money for CHASA."
