Missing autistic woman found dead in West Phila.

The cause of Christina Sankey's death is under investigation.

Sankey, who was unable to speak, was with a caregiver around 2:30 p.m. at Macy's when she wandered off, police said.

She was last seen on surveillance video getting on a down escalator on the second floor.

She was reported missing. Police issued an alert late Thursday seeking the public's help in finding her.

About 6:30 a.m. Friday, a woman's body was found lying on the ground between parked cars in the 1400 block of North 57th Street. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman was identified as Sankey, who lived in the 1900 block of Ellsworth Street in Point Breeze.
