Erie tops 100-inch snow mark

ERIE Erie residents can brag that they have been buried under more than 100 inches of snow this winter.

The National Weather Service's latest snowfall totals, updated at 1 p.m. Wednesday, had Erie at 102.5 inches of snow for the season, including 6.7 inches Wednesday.

Weather service meteorologists say the most recent storm accounted for 8.5 inches of snow.

Erie is well above its average snowfall totals this winter. At this point in an average season, Erie would have had 69.2 inches of snow.
