CHESTER Leslie A. Brun, head of an investment holding company who serves on several corporate boards, has been named to the Widener University board of trustees.

Brun founded the private equity company Hamilton Lane and is chief executive officer of Sarr Group L.L.C. His "vast experience in the financial industry will be a tremendous asset to Widener," said James T. Harris III, the university president.

Brun, a Haitian American who lives in Bryn Mawr, was an adviser to the U.S. Small Business Administration and is a member of the nonprofit Council on Foreign Relations. He recently was elected to the Hall of Fame of the National Association of Investment Companies, which represents minority-owned private equity firms. - Inquirer staff
