D.A.'s key role in anti-drug trafficking panel
WEST CHESTER Chester County District Attorney Thomas Hogan has been tapped to lead the intelligence committee for a regional anti-drug trafficking program, his office announced last week.
Hogan's work will fall under the umbrella of the regional High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area, which covers Chester and Delaware Counties and Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, and Camden County in New Jersey. Several local and federal agencies will participate.
The program's executive director, Jeremiah Daley, said in a statement that Hogan would "play an integral part" in helping provide intelligence and information on drug trafficking to agencies throughout the region.
High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area participants have partnered with Hogan in the past - for Operation Tuberia Rota, an investigation that led to the capture of several international drug traffickers in southern Chester County, and Operation Silent Night, an ongoing effort to prevent violent crime in Coatesville. - Aubrey Whelan
