Man, 34, wounded in shooting in Mayfair

A 34-year-old man was shot and wounded early Saturday during an argument in a house in Mayfair, police said.

A 34-year-old man was shot and wounded early Saturday during an argument in a house in Mayfair, police said.

Police responded to reports of a shooting about 1:25 a.m. and found the victim lying outside at 6300 Frankford Avenue. He had been shot in the left thigh and lower back, police said.

Witnesses told police the man was shot in a house in the 3100 block of Levick Street by a man in a green T-shirt and blue jeans who fled west on Levick and south on Hawthorne Street.

The victim, whose identity was not released, was in critical condition at Aria Health-Torresdale Campus. - Maria Panaritis
