Three robbed and beaten in Cherry Hill home invasion

Cherry Hill police are investigating whether an early-morning home invasion Saturday was a random robbery or whether the victims were targeted.

Cherry Hill police are investigating whether an early-morning home invasion Saturday was a random robbery or whether the victims were targeted.

A 30-year-old man, his 26-year-old brother, and the younger man's wife, 23, were robbed and assaulted about 3 a.m.

Two men went to a rear second-floor door of the home on the 800 block of West Marlton Pike and announced that they were "Camden County Police," the victims told police. The robbers kicked in the door and beat the three with guns. The victims suffered multiple cuts and fractures, police said.

Lt. Bill Kushina said authorities planned Tuesday to interview the victims in depth.

The brothers have been released from Kennedy University Hospital-Cherry Hill, police said. The female had surgery on a hand, but it was unclear whether she remained hospitalized.

The intruders ransacked several rooms and left on foot with electronics and cash, police said. The robbery and assaults took about 20 minutes, Kushina said.

Anyone with information is being encouraged to call the department's 24-hour information line at 856-488-7828.
