Yeadon man, 21, fatally shot in Upper Darby

A 21-year-old Yeadon man was shot early Saturday morning and died at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania later in the afternoon. Upper Darby police are still looking for the shooter.

Ryan Duncan was shot while walking with two friends near the 200 block of North Wycombe Avenue at 3:30 a.m., Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said.

Duncan, who was shot in the abdomen, had been involved in an altercation at a McDonald's restaurant on 69th Street earlier in the evening, Chitwood said.

Police found Duncan nearby on Powelton Avenue near the border of Upper Darby and Lansdowne. He spoke briefly to police and a friend before he was taken to the hospital, where he died at 2 p.m. - Joelle Farrell
