US Airways pilot suspended over skirt photos

Police expect to charge a US Airways pilot who allegedly used a cell phone to snap upskirt pictures of a teenage girl at Philadelphia International Airport Thursday night.

Police expect to charge a US Airways pilot who allegedly used a cell phone to snap upskirt pictures of a teenage girl at Philadelphia International Airport Thursday night.

The allegation was that the 55-year-old pilot took photographs directed up the skirt of a 15-year-old in a terminal, said police spokesman Lt. Frank Vanore.

After a witness complained to a police officer, the man was taken in for questioning and a warrant was sought to view the pictures on the phone, Vanore said.

Police expected to get an arrest warrant signed by a judge and then arrange for the pilot to turn himself in next week, Vanore said. He is a Pennsylvania resident but does not live near Philadelphia. Police usually will not release names of suspects until they are charged.

The pilot has been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation, said Morgan Durrant, a US Airways spokesman in Philadelphia.

The charges would include stalking, corrupting the morals of a minor, and related offenses, all misdemeanors.
