Drivers frustrated by road work tie-ups won't get any respite Sunday morning.

All of Kelly Drive will be closed because of the Philadelphia Triathlon from 5 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. There will be numerous other traffic restrictions in the area until about 2 p.m.

The competition, which is expected to attract 4,000 athletes, includes a 1.5K swim in the Schuylkill, a 40K bike ride along Martin Luther King and Kelly Drives, and a 10K run on King Drive. The event serves as the first race in the Life Time Fitness Series Race to the Toyota Cup.

Vehicles and bicycles will not be permitted to enter Fairmount Park from Dauphin Drive, and access to Diamond Drive will be allowed only up to Reservoir Drive, as well as Oxford Drive as far as Smith Playground.

Sedgley Drive, Brewery Hill Drive, and Poplar Drive will be closed at intersections with Girard Avenue.

For those trying to enter the park, there will be no access from Hunting Park Avenue, Roosevelt Expressway, or Midvale Avenue.

All roads are expected to reopen about 11:30 a.m., except Martin Luther King Drive. It will be closed from 4 a.m. until 5 p.m.

There will be no private vehicle access to the Art Museum; however, SEPTA, Philly Flash, First Union Tour, buses and taxicab drop-offs are permitted.

Started in 2005, the Philadelphia Triathlon has donated more than $400,000 to the Cancer Center at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

This will be the fifth year that Philadelphia Insurance Co. has been the title sponsor.
