Police are investigating three shootings that left three men hospitalized Saturday night.

A 20-year-old man was shot multiple times and critically injured sometime after 6 p.m. in the 2000 block of North 25th Street, said Officer Christine O'Brien, a police spokeswoman.

A few hours later, a 24-year-old man was seriously wounded outside an East Falls liquor store in the 3600 block of Indian Queen Lane. O'Brien said the assailant was a "known offender." About 45 minutes later, a 21-year-old man was shot four times in the leg in the 2700 block of North Ninth Street, O'Brien said.

All three were taken to Temple University Hospital, where the 20-year-old was in critical condition and the 24-year-old in guarded condition. The condition of the 21-year-old was unavailable last night. - Anthony R. Wood
