A Norristown man was indicted yesterday on murder and weapons charges in the shooting of shift manager Raymond Kot at the Trump Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City.
Mark E. Magee, 57, was held in the Atlantic County Jail on $1,122,500 bail and will be arraigned later. The indictment was returned in state Superior Court by a grand jury for the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice's Major Crimes Bureau.
Magee is accused of shooting Kot, also 57, of Egg Harbor Township, N.J., inside a card and dice room off the casino floor May 27. Three shots were fired from a five-shot, .38-caliber revolver loaded with hollow-point bullets. Kot was struck in the torso.
Atlantic City detectives arrested Magee and found the gun outside the casino shortly after the shooting. - Edward Colimore
