Bordentowns offer amnesty on fines, warrants

Bordentown City and Township courts are offering a three-month amnesty for people who wish to resolve outstanding warrants and fines, officials announced.

"This is an opportunity for citizens who have an outstanding Municipal Court matter to come into court and find out how to do the right thing without being fearful of additional sanctions," Municipal Court Judge Joseph P. Montalto said in a news release this week.

From Monday through Sept. 15, those with balances due in Bordentown Township and Bordentown City Municipal Courts can pay in full or arrange payments without further penalties. Those with warrants for failing to appear in court can reschedule their hearings.

Payments must be made in person at 1 Municipal Dr., Bordentown, where the Violations Bureau is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cash and Visa or Mastercard credit and debit cards will be accepted. Proof of address, such as a driver's license or utility bill, is required. For information, call the courts at 609-298-2802. - Inquirer staff
