As the recession hampers funding for nonprofits, the Crime Victims' Center of Chester County is turning to wine to help finance its programs for crime victims and their families.
The agency's first wine tasting will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. June 7 at Stargazers Vineyard & Winery, 1024 Wheatland Dr., Coatesville. The event, which costs $25 per person, will include wine tastings, hors d'oeuvres, a tour of the winery, and a souvenir glass. Wine will be available for purchase, and 20 percent of the sales price will go to the Crime Victims' Center.
