A South Philadelphia man was charged last night with murder in the stabbing death of his 62-year-old father in one of two unrelated slayings of city men yesterday.

Son Troung, 37, was held without bail last night in the killing of Loc Phouc Troung of the 1900 block of South Mole Street. Police were called to the home, just south of Point Breeze, at 7:25 a.m.; medics pronounced Troung dead at 7:36 a.m. He had been stabbed numerous times.

Investigators blamed the stabbing on an early-morning argument between father and son.

The second killing detectives were investigating last night happened yesterday afternoon in Southwest Philadelphia.

The 60-year-old owner of a furniture store on the 2500 block of South 58th Street was found by police responding to a 1:25 p.m. call.

Medics declared Anthony D'Antonio, who was described as a Vietnam War veteran, dead at 1:42 p.m. of a gunshot wound to the head.

Authorities said they were called after a customer entered the store. They had no motive last night and no suspect.
