Woman fatally struck by school bus in Northeast Philadelphia


A female pedestrian was fatally struck by a school bus in Northeast Philadelphia this morning.

Police said the woman was hit by the bus on Frankford Avenue near Cottman Avenue at 10:46 a.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 11 a.m.

The circumstances of the incident remain under investigation. No children were on board the bus at the time of the crash, and no other vehicles were involved.

The woman was in her early 20s. Her name was not released.
