Will rain dampen Easter Sunday?

There's good news and bad news in the forecast for Easter weekend.

We'll start with the good: After a colder-than-usual second half of March, this weekend should be fairly warm, with high temperatures at or close to average.

The high today should reach 55, according to the National Weather Service. Saturday should be warmer, with a high near 58, and Sunday's high is expected to be 55.

The weather service says today will be partly cloudy, and Saturday should be sunny. That's good news for those traveling or attending events like Saturday's 30,000-Easter-egg hunt in Cherry Hill.

Now, the bad news: The weather service says rain is likely on Easter Sunday.

Showers are most likely between 2 p.m. and 11 p.m., when there's a 60 percent chance of rain. Any rain should end by Sunday night.
