Surveillance video of suspects released in Society Hill shooting

Police have released surveillance video of two men being sought in a shooting and attempted robbery in Society Hill.

A man was shot when he tried to flee from the assailants during an attempted carjacking at about 1:45 a.m. Monday.

Police said the victim had left the nearby Blurr Nightclub and was returning to his vehicle, parked on the 100 block of Walnut Street, when two men armed with handguns approached him and demanded his keys.

The man fled from the vehicle and was shot in the back. He continued to run and flagged down a passerby, who called 911.v

Police said the attackers ran west on Walnut Street and left the vehicle at the scene.
