Medicine delivery van robbed in pharmacy parking lot

Two men robbed a medication delivery van Tuesday morning outside an East Falls pharmacy, police said.

Police are looking for suspects after a medication delivery van was robbed outside an East Falls pharmacy.

The suspects broke into the white-colored van, parked in the parking lot of the Rite Aid pharmacy at 3601 Midvale Ave., just before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday

Someone drove up to the van and transferred a number of items into another vehicle while the 43-year-old delivery driver was inside the pharmacy, police said.

Police said 12 containers filled with an array of medications were taken, but no other specifics were available. The items may have included pills and nicotine patches.

The two men drove off in a red, early-to-mid 2000s minivan, possibly a Chrysler Town and Country or Dodge Caravan.

Police on Wednesday released surveillance footage from the parking lot and of the red minivan.

They were last seen driving west on Midvale Avenue toward Ridge Avenue.
