Medical examiner: Fatal fall into Delaware River was accident

A Massachusettes man, whose body was found on the edge of the Delaware River, accidentally fell, struck his head and drowned, medical examiners ruled.

Francisco M. Basile, Jr., 48, of East Longmeadow, was staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Essington after his Friday flight was cancelled. He was reported missing after failing to show up for his scheduled flight the next day.

His body was found by visitors at the Governor Printz Park on Sunday.

Relatives had said he was in town on business.
