Cops: AK-47 used in Overbrook 7-Eleven robbery

Philadelphia police are looking for the masked assailants who used handguns and an AK-47-type rifle while robbing an Overbrook convenience store.

Police released surveillance footage today of the robbery at about 12:45 a.m. Monday of the 7-Eleven located at 6375 Lebanon Ave.

Authorities said the men pointed handguns and an AK-47-style rifle at the store employees while demanding money.

The three fled after taking money from the cash register. Officials didn't say how much money they stole.

It wasn't known where the men fled after the robbery.

One suspect was described as black, about 20 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, having a thin build, and wearing a blue zip-up hooded jacket, and dark-colored pants.

The second suspect was described as black, about 20 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, having a medium build, and wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, and black shoes with red trim.

The third suspect was described as black, about 30 years old, 6 feet 1 inch to 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 200 to 250 pounds, and wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
