13 taken to hospital after SEPTA bus crash

A dozen passengers and a SEPTA bus driver were taken to local hospitals after a bus was involved in a crash in Nicetown.

A dozen passengers and a SEPTA bus driver were taken to local hospitals after a bus was involved in a crash in Nicetown.

SEPTA said the accident, which happened at North Broad and Bristol streets around 9 a.m. Tuesday, involved a Route 16 bus and another vehicle.

The transit agency said 12 riders and the bus driver were taken to Temple University Hospital and Albert Einstein Medical Center for treatment.

Their injuries were thought to be minor, SEPTA said.

It wasn't known how many people were on the bus at the time.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
