Man charged in sex assault on child in Glassboro

GLASSBORO A Camden man was arrested Wednesday in connection with the sexual assault of a child in Glassboro, Gloucester County authorities said.

James Cole, 61, was charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child under age 13.

Cole assaulted the child, whose age was not given, in January 2012, the prosecutor's office said. An investigation began after the child told a school counselor about the alleged incident.

Cole was held on $100,000 bail.
