Two men were found shot, one fatally, inside a minivan that crashed into an Olney home overnight.

Philadelphia police said officers were called to Clarkson Avenue near North American Street after a gray Pontiac Montana minivan crashed into a house shortly after 12:30 a.m. Thursday.

Officers found two men in the vehicle, both bleeding from their heads. One was sitting in the front passenger seat and the other was exiting a rear passenger seat, officials said.

Both men were taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center.

A 21-year-old man, who had been shot twice in the head, was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.

His name wasn't released because his family hasn't been notified.

The other victim suffered one gunshot wound to the head and another to his right hand, police said. The 20-year-old survived but was hospitalized in critical condition.

Investigators were hoping to talk with him Thursday morning to learn more about what happened.

Witnesses reported seeing three men running from the scene, head east on Clarkson Avenue, police said.

Those men were described as black men between the ages of 20 and 25. One was wearing a white jacket, one had a black jacket and the third was wearing an orange jacket, police said. No other descriptive details were available.

People were inside the home at the time of the crash, officials said, but no one in the building was injured.
