Shamong man ordered to stay away from the White House

The criminal justice system had a message for a Burlington County man Monday: Stay away from the White House.
Kevin Carr, 19, of Shamong Township, was given the order by Superior Court Judge Karen Howze, two days after he tried to enter the White House. Carr, facing charges of unauthorized access and related crimes, pleaded not guilty and was released.
On Saturday, a Secret Service spokesman said, Carr walked to the northwest pedestrian entrance of the White House and was turned away. He then drove his car to a restricted entrance at 15th and E Streets, where he was arrested after refusing to leave, authorities said.
The incident came a day after authorities said a decorated, retired Iraq war veteran jumped the White House fence.
Carr's next hearing is scheduled for Oct. 21. His attorney, Sean Broderick Murphy, could not be reached for comment.
