10 arrested in 2 more Philly prostitution busts

Ten people have been arrested in connection with two recent prostitution busts in Philadelphia.

Philadelphia police said today that nine people are facing charges after an investigation into a motorcycle club on the 5700 block of Hoffman Avenue in Kingsessing.

Police began looking into the club after receiving complaints about unruly patrons in the early-morning hours.

Authorities say women were soliciting money from male customers for sex acts. Those arrested are facing charges of prostitution, narcotics offenses and other charges.

The arrested include: 35-year-old Terry Boyd, 42-year-old Mark Williams, 23-year-old Shante Williams, 25-year-old Joshua Ward, 19-year-old Thyini Johnson, 39-year-old Nicola Taylor, 18-year-old Lenee Taylor, 44-year-old Maxine Purvis and a 17-year-old girl.

In a separate case, cops say 52-year-old He Eun Lee ran an illegal massage and prostitution operation at the Adams Apple Relaxation Spa on the 400 block of North 9th Street, just north of Chinatown.

She was arrested on Friday.

The news of those arrests came a day after police announced that three women and a 15-year-old girl were charged in two other prostitution busts in the city last week.
