Woman, 25, critically hurt by hit-and-run driver in West Philly

A 25-year-old woman was critically injured by a hit-and-run driver Tuesday afternoon in West Philadelphia, police said.

The accident occurred about 4:40 p.m. at 56th Street and Wyalusing Avenue. The woman was struck by a dark-colored minivan that was driven away south on 56th.

The woman was taken by medics to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and reported in critical but stable condition.
