Four men were wounded in a street shooting Wednesday night in the city’s Kensington section, police said.
About 9:55 p.m., the victims were gathered at the corner of Second and Lippincott Streets, some sitting in folding chairs, when gunfire erupted from a passing white SUV, said Chief Inspector Scott Small.
Two victims in their 50s were wounded in their arms and legs. One victim in his 30s was shot in the arm, and another in his 30s was shot in the chest. Medics took the man shot in the chest to Temple University Hospital. His condition was not immediately available, but it was not believed to be life-threatening, Small said.
The three other victims were taken by police to Temple and were reported in stable condition. The SUV was last seen heading west on Lippincott.
