Police are investigating two fatal shootings in Philadelphia, the second and third gunfire deaths in the city in just more than 24 hours.

All three killings remain under investigation, with no arrests reported.

In the most recent slaying, a 24-year-old man died after he was shot in the head on the 200 block of East Indiana Avenue in Kensington at about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The victim, whose name was not immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:32 a.m.

The motive for the shooting wasn’t known. Police had no description of any suspects.

On Monday morning, a 27-year-old man was shot several times in head and torso near Bridge and Oakland Streets in Frankford.

That victim, identified Tuesday as Kenyon Childs, of Frankford’s Northwood section, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:33 a.m. Monday. The assailant was last seen fleeing down an alley on the 5300 block of Oakland Street.

Childs’ death was followed a fatal shooting earlier Monday in West Philadelphia that left another man dead.
