Nearby homicide investigation closes Delco middle school

Penn Wood Middle School in Delaware County’s Darby Borough was closed Tuesday morning reportedly due to a homicide investigation on the same street.

The William Penn School District in a post on Facebook said only the school as closed because of “continued police activity in the area.”

6ABC said a homicide investigation was underway on the 100 block of Summit Street, the same block on which the school is located.

No information has been released yet about the homicide.
