Mayfair man gets 10- to 20-year term in 2016 fatal shooting

Stylles Rusling pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the killing of Kevin Twist.

A 29-year-old man has been sentenced to 10 to 20 years in prison the the fatal shooting of another man in Northeast Philadelphia's Mayfair section.

Stylles J. Rusling, who lived in Mayfair, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter on Oct. 3, a day after a jury had been chosen for his trial for murder in the killing of Kevin Twist, 34.

Twist, also of Mayfair, was found with a gunshot wound the neck in a parking lot in the 7200 block of Frankford Avenue on July 16, 2016 and pronounced dead at the scene. Police charged Rusling shot Twist during an argument.

Common Pleas Court Judge Rose DeFino-Nastasi imposed the sentence on Friday, according to court records.
