A 35-year-old Northeast Philadelphia man has been arrested and charged with four attempted lurings of children last week, police said Tuesday.

Marwan Deeb, of the 800 block of Fanshawe Street in Lawndale, was arrested Monday and charged with four felony counts each of luring a child into a motor vehicle and of corruption of a minor, police said.

On Sept. 12, two children were allegedly approached by Deeb, who was in a vehicle, on the 400 block of Tomlinson Road in Somerton as they were leaving school at about 3:15 p.m., police said. After he allegedly offered them cash to get into his car, they ran away, police said.

Then, about 8 a.m. Friday, police said, Deeb allegedly pulled up in a car next to a girl walking to school on the 4900 block of Ditman Street in Frankford. The girl told police that the man showed her money and a camera and asked if he could take her picture. She, too, ran away.

About 10 minutes later, on the 5300 block of Jackson Street in Frankford, police said, another girl walking to school was allegedly approached by Deeb in a car. She reported that the man asked her if he could take her picture for money. She also fled.
