One dead in Chester shooting
The death marks the 13th homicide for the Delaware County city this year.

One man is dead after a shooting Wednesday night in the city of Chester.
About 9:30 p.m., police were called to the 900 block of West 9th Street for a report of shots fired. They found Darnell Sadler, 24, lying in the doorway of a home suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said. He was transported to Crozer Chester Medical Center where he was pronounced dead about an hour later, police said.
Sadler's death marks the 13th homicide in the city this year.
The crime marks the fifth reported shooting in less than a week and the second homicide.
On Friday, Zion Abdullah, 16, was shot and killed on his way to Chester High School. The teen ran to 10th and Fulton Streets, where he collapsed and died in the parking lot of the Christopher Columbus school, which students frequently use as a shortcut in making their way to school, police said.
