Man, 22, critical after being shot in car in Overbrook

He was hit five times in an arm and once in his right side, police said.

A 22-year-old man was fighting for his life after being shot six times while inside a car late Wednesday night in Philadelphia's Overbrook neighborhood, police said Thursday.

The man was sitting in the car on the 2000 block of North 56th Street about 11:20 p.m. when he was shot five times in his right arm and once in his right side, police said.

Police who arrived to the scene didn't find the victim there, and learned that he had been taken by a private vehicle to Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, where he was in critical condition.

No arrests were reported.
