A dirt bike rider suffered serious injuries to his head and limbs when he struck a car in Kensington late Saturday night, according to police.

A dirt bike rider suffered serious injuries to his head, legs and arms when he struck a car in Kensington late Saturday night, according to police.

The 19-year-old man was riding a Kawasaki dirt bike on city streets — which is illegal in Philadelphia — when the crash occurred, authorities said.

The teen was driving west on the 400 block of East Tioga Street around 11:24 p.m. when he hit a 2010 Dodge Charger traveling east on Tioga that was making a left turn, police said.

The driver of the car, a 26-year-old man, stayed on scene while the dirt biker was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he remains in critical condition with injuries to his head and limbs, according to authorities.

Just two weeks ago, a dirt bike rider fleeing police in Philadelphia allegedly struck and  injured a 6-year-old girl and her aunt in Upper Darby.
