Burned body found in closed restaurant near Northeast Philly mall

Police said the unidentified body was found by construction workers inside they shuttered restaurant on the grounds of the Philadelphia Mills.

The burned body of an unidentified man was found inside a shuttered restaurant just outside the Philadelphia Mills mall Monday in Northeast Philadelphia, police said.

Police said the body was found by construction workers inside the former Sushi Kingdom restaurant, located in the mall's wingspan at 427 Franklin Mills Circle.

He was pronounced dead just before 2:30 p.m.

It was not immediately known when the restaurant closed.
