One man has died and three men were in critical condition after getting shot Thursday night following a brawl in Southwest Philadelphia, police said.

The victims, ages 22 to 32, arrived in two vehicles to confront the boyfriend of their relative after she told them that he had physically attacked her, said Lt. John Walker, of Southwest Detectives. The shooting occurred in the 6600 block of Dorel Street around 9:30 p.m. and the victims were all taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where they initially were listed in critical condition after suffering from multiple gunshot wounds

A 23-year-old man was pronounced dead Friday morning around 4 a.m., police said. The unnamed man had allegedly tussled with the boyfriend before the boyfriend pulled out a gun and started firing.

A second victim, who is 22, is still listed in critical condition, while the other two, who are 22 and 32, are now stable, police said.

Police said in a release that the shooting began after a woman "called family members and they arrived in two vehicles. A 23-year-old man got into a fight with the boyfriend, who then pulled a gun and started firing.  The boyfriend, who lives in the neighborhood, fled the scene. Nine shell casings were found at the scene.

Police also found a handgun in one of the vehicles and brass knuckles dropped in the street.
