Man, 28, shot to death in Chester
A 28-year-old man was fatally wounded in a shooting Thursday morning in Chester. About 9:45 a.m., police were called to the 500 block of Tilghman Street, where they wound William Corbin Jr. lying on the ground with several gunshot wounds to his upper torso, police said. Medical personnel pronounced Corbin dead at the scene.

Police said officers responding to the 500 block of Tilghman Street about 9:45 a.m. found William Corbin Jr. on the ground with several gunshot wounds to his upper torso, police said. Medical personnel pronounced Corbin dead at the scene.
It was the 14th homicide in Chester this year.
